Stir Fry Beef Recipe

This recipes for stir fry beef uses basic ingredients and is so delicious.

Ingredients

3 Tablespoons olive oil
2 Tablespoons soy sauce
1 Tablespoon brown sugar
5 stalks fresh basil leaves
1/2 teaspoon fresh ground black pepper
2 lbs (900g) beef sirloin, sliced thin and cut into small pieces
2 Tablespoons fresh garlic, minced
2 Tablespoons fresh green onions, finely chopped

Splash of oil (for frying)
1 red pepper, chopped
1 zucchini, washed and cut into rounds
1 yellow pepper, chopped

Extra fresh basil for garnish

Directions

The night before (if possible):

Put basil into a plastic bag and mash with a rolling pin to release flavor.

Add oil, soy sauce, sugar, pepper and beef slices into bag, marinating over night or if in a pinch for time, at least an hour.

Warm a non-stick skillet over medium heat; add remaining oil when hot.

Toss garlic and green onion in oil for two or three minutes, being careful not to brown them.

Add marinated beef; sauté for 3-4 minutes until cooked as desired, monitoring closely.

Remove beef to bowl, leaving the flavors in the pan.

Add zucchini and a splash of oil and saute on each side for 3 minute.

Add peppers and cook for another 3 minutes.

Add beef back into vegetables and mix to combine.

Serve over rice or noodles and garnish with fresh basil.
